A baby born mid-flight get flight ticket for life

A baby boy was born mid-flight and named after the pilot, the CCT Africa is reporting. This is the second time within a month that a baby is born mid-air, the first being the report of an unnamed heavily pregnant woman who gave birth while on her way from Dubai to the Philippines.



Abdul Basset’s mother was travelling in an aircraft belonging to Buraq air from Tripoli to Niamey, capital of Niger when she went into labour, the report said.

He was named Abdul Basset after the plane’s captain. Quoting Daily Mail, the report said Buraq Air announced on Facebook that the baby would now be granted a lifetime of free tickets with the carrier.
